Established in 1969, the company carries out four main types of work: land and civil engineering surveys, measured building surveys, and setting out. One-man robotic theodolites are used where appropriate, supplemented by conventional total stations and GPS.

Recent contracts include the grounds of Buckingham Palace for the Queen's Jubilee Celebrations and in the Olympic Stadium in Athens for the next Olympic Games.

Other clients include small local organisations through government departments, to international companies such as BP. Our existing customers recommend their own contacts to LDS, and as a result we have built a client base of loyal, satisfied organisations, some of which we have serviced since our beginnings in 1969.

Though we perform the majority of our work in the UK, our experience includes contracts in Canada, USA, Australia, Peru, Libya, and Greece.
